Biscuits and Gravy… No, not THAT kind of “Biscuit!”

I love (with a capital L-O-V-E) biscuits and gravy! It is probably my most favorite food in the whole world. The worst thing about living in England is that they don’t have it here. My Mom and Dad have mentioned this to some friends here, and the English people always look disgusted by the idea because a “biscuit” in England is very different from a “biscuit” in America. For my birthday (29 December) my Mom and Dad gave me a great present: homemade biscuits and gravy-the American kind. My, it was delicious!

In case you’re wondering, here in England a “biscuit” is like a cookie or cracker. In America, it’s kind of somewhere in between the English scone or dumpling. For biscuits and gravy (at least where I’m from), we serve the biscuits hot with a creamy sausage or country gravy on top. These are some good photos:
