Today, I returned from the 13th decennial Hadrian’s Wall Pilgrimage. A tradition that dates back some 160 years, this is a time for local antiquaries, international scholars, and interested amateurs to traverse the line of Hadrian’s Wall from end to end (some 80 miles!) and learn about the new discoveries of the past ten years. It was an amazing experience, and I will write about it in greater detail very soon. In the meantime, however, you may be interested in following the Twitter feed of live posts from the Pilgrimage.

I am so thrilled I found you on twitter. I really enjoy learning about new areas in Archaeology. Right now, my direction seems to be on middle eastern societies, the architecture and such. I will be following your posts.
Hi Lauren,
Thanks so much for commenting, and for following me on Twitter. I went to your site and read the “about me” section. Like you, I returned to university to pursue archaeology after a former career. It’s great fun and oh so fulfilling.
